While we understand that there are insufficient funds to give appointments to all of these doctors, the lack of interest to find a solution to this is unacceptable

The Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) yesterday lamented that the Health Ministry was dragging its feet in giving appointments to 820 interns while there were more than 3,000 vacancies for doctors in state hospitals at present.
